WilloWind Energy is a developer and operator of wind farms in the UK

Gass Wind Farm

The proposed Gass Wind Farm will be located on land to the north east of Glenluce in Dumfries and Galloway. It is envisaged that Gass Wind Farm will consist of 9 wind turbines each with a rated power of around 2.3 MW, with a total site capacity of 20.7 MW.

Once operational it is anticipated that Gass Wind Farm would generate enough electricity to power over 10,800 homes. It is estimated that it will take 5.6 years for Gass Wind Farm to pay back the carbon emissions invested in its construction based on the carbon savings that the electricity produced by Gass Wind Farm will generate.

Willowind is committed to delivering benefits to the local communities that the wind farm resides in. To this end Willowind is committed to provide £5,000 per MW of installed capacity over the operational life period of the wind farm (circa £100,000 per annum) into a community benefit fund. This fund will be specifically focused on the financing of schemes designed to boost local education, employment and tourism.
